Where to check Deltaship's status, how maintenance is announced, and telling your players.

Check Deltaship's status#

The status page on deltaship.dev explains what Deltaship monitors (the dashboard, the services the plugin and launchers use, player downloads and launcher updates) and links to the live status of each. Check it first when uploads, sign-in or downloads stop working.

The uptime target, and what counts against it, is on the service levels page.

How Deltaship announces maintenance#

Planned maintenance is announced in advance on the status page, with its time window. Announced maintenance does not count against the uptime target.

Tell your players about maintenance#

Your own planned downtime, such as game servers going offline, reaches players through your launcher:

  1. Open Publishing, choose New post and pick Maintenance as the type.
  2. Enter the start and end times, in UTC, a title and a short body.
  3. Publish it, or schedule it to go live ahead of the window.

The alert shows in your launcher's news with its time window, is marked as happening now while it runs, and disappears once the window has ended. See Publishing.

What players see during an outage#

Installed games keep working: players can start the version they have even when downloads are unavailable. The launcher says it is offline or temporarily unavailable, and updates resume once service is back. See How updates reach players.
