Export, sign in and publish

Export a release folder, or sign in and upload straight to your studio.

When a build is prepared and verified, you can export it to a folder or upload it to your studio.

Export to a folder#

Choose Export to folder in the Deltaship tab. Export writes the release to a folder of your choice, with everything needed to upload it later. Exporting several versions into the same folder stores what they share only once. Export checks every file as it reads it, so a build edited after preparing is reported instead of exported.

Sign in and upload#

  1. Fill in the plugin settings from the dashboard's Plugin setup card; see Set up the plugin.
  2. In the Deltaship tab, under 4. Upload, paste a publish token and choose Sign in. See Publish tokens and CI.
  3. Choose Upload release. The plugin asks your studio which parts it already has and sends only the rest. A second release of the same game usually uploads a small fraction of the build.
  4. When the upload finishes, the release appears as a draft on the game's page in the dashboard.

Uploads retry on their own after network errors, up to five times with growing pauses.

Publish#

Publishing makes a release the one players get on its channel. In the dashboard, open the game and choose Publish next to the draft. You need a role that can publish and a confirmed email.

See Channels and publishing for channels and rolling back.

What can stop an upload#
